In the highest Truth everything is perfectly okay, absolutely... but right now in time and space, we are going through a massive upheaval where darkness and hate in all its glory are being shown in some aspect every single day. We cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening any longer. In the last week alone we have seen Sinead O'Conner's outcry on social media with thoughts of suicide and mental illness, Chester Bennington from Linkin Park actually taking his own life, to the U.S president making threats right back to North Korea that could potentially lead to a civil or world war, and to the recent Neo-Nazi White Supremacist rally's and attacks in Charlottesville, killing Heather Heyer and wounding 19 (and lets not forget Trump's very delayed comments on the matter). All are collective issues that represent the sick culture we have created and built up from many many years of us passing along our beliefs, habits and ideologies that contort our view of humanity. We seem to have forgotten that to be HUMANE towards all people is what being human is all about. There is this increasing manifestation of internal and external war. At this time if we don't speak up about it, it can very easily spread around the world and become a global epidemic. A war infested world is NOT the world I want. A hatred torn world is NOT the world I know to be true. This is NOT the path I choose for us to take. So as a white female with a father and family who are American and a platform where I am blessed to share ideas about new perceptions of events that happen in our world, it is my duty to shine some light on this area and talk about what needs to be talked about. So here I am.
The fastest way we are going to overcome this, is to first ask ourselves what all of these things happening in the world means for us as an individual and as a collective humanity.
I see personally see it as a turning point for both the individual and the collective. It is a realization for us that things MUST change. We cannot wait for another Jesus or Martin-Luther king to come save us. We must stand up for what is happening and save ourselves. We can do just that, by bringing to light the ways we might be dealing with these issues at this time. In hopes that we correct our own errors, find our own voice, and offer a new way to see all of this that supports the qualities of love, trust and brotherhood.
Of these four ways to deal with global catastrophes of hate, attack and death, notice which of them is most like your current experience.
1) Hate on the haters. People who become enraged by what is taking place in politics, in our countries and with the crimes around the world. They see it as their duty to "fight back". All the while not realizing that fighting hate with hate is the same mistake and it will never work.
2) Pretend it isn't happening by not listening to the news or not doing your research. This may very well be the easiest route. If you havent looked into what is happening, how can you have an opinion, right? Well, as a Being of the world, it is our duty to become conscious and aware of what is happening. We must be able to find a way to help contribute to the world we DO want to see instead of denying the world as it currently is.
3) Applying spiritual or religious concepts such as "this world is an illusion" "there is nothing to forgive" "I am happy in my own life" "all is love anyway" "this is just a dream" "we need do nothing". These are new-age concepts thrown at the projector screen of life. In doing so it induces a forgetting of our brothers and where they are in their experience, with a simultaneous complacency in being "okay" in our own private world. Its a more spiritual form of denial. Another way to wave a hand at what is taking place instead of being inspired to do something about it. Even simply in our families or in our communities.
4) A sincere willingness to do our part to heal and to shine our light. To affect and inspire change and positivity with our family, with all people and in all the places that we can. This is the route that sees the problem and wants to help to contribute to its solution. This is the route that lifts us from our separate lives and into the realm of cooperation, unity and potentiality for peace within and peace on earth.
The choice we make in how we deal with what happens in our world, is the choice that will help contribute to the world we have OR the world we want to see. This is not an idle choice. It effects everyone, including you and me. In this choice is our power to decide exemplified.
This world needs more love. In our thoughts and in our actions. It needs new ways that help bring people closer together. It needs new ways that others can follow as we are lead to the greatest outcome for ALL. We cannot idly let life pass us by and ignore what is happening on a global scale. Segregation and is not okay. Possible world war 3 is not okay. Suffering and death that is self inflicted or at the hands of hate is not okay. White supremacist rally's that advocate violence and racism is not okay!
In the words of Martin Luther King, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." If we all can find it inside ourselves to ask "what would Love do" we are more likely to produce small acts of kindness that lead to a greater quality of life. We are not to turn a blind eye to this world or judge it right now. We are to help it. For as we help it, we help ourselves. I know personally, there is nothing I would not do to contribute my part in the collective unraveling of hate and pain, by stepping into the daily practice of peace inside my own mind and extending it to all others. Day by day, thought by thought, little bit by little bit we CAN make a difference. We MUST make a difference. The world the way it is is headed for disaster. With out our voice and demonstration of loving another as your self, we are letting the past, and the old and the faulty decisions be the determiners of our destiny. Not on my watch I says. So I am speaking up. There IS another way to live life on earth...and it starts with us. #OnlyLoveCanDoThat #LoveOthers #Forgive #SpeakUp
